We form it like this: If + present simple + will/won't + infinitive Examples: If you leave at 2.00, you will be in Washington by 9.00. We won't go out for dinner if you don't want to. If I have time, I'll visit Tokyo. They won't eat if they aren't hungry. 2nd Conditional: We use the 2nd conditional to imagine what might happen in certain situations. We form it like this: If + past simple + would/wouldn't + infinitive Examples: If I earned more money, I would buy more clothes. He would get the job if he spoke fluent English. If I had time, I'd go to the gym more often. Travelling to work would be easier if I had a car. We can use the were form of the 2nd conditional to give or ask for advice Examples: If I were you I'd change my job. What would you do if you were me?
