Standing on a branch of this  tree may be dangerous.

The beginning of this story was very interesting.

Il peut être précédé de verbes temporels tels que : to begin, to keep (on), to go on, to continue, to stop, to finish... qui marquent le commencement, la continuité ou la fin d'une action .

Don't stop holding the mob back from the prisoner or they will lynch him.

That child kept on asking them when they would arrive.

To avoid, to consider, to contemplate, to dream (of/about), to enjoy etc.

He enjoys diving in tropical seas.

Look at those crazy horses, I suggest running immediately!

I haven't spent all  day playing video games.

after, at, by, for, instead of, on with/without...

to be reduced to, to blame for, to confess to, to insist on, to look forward to, to object to, to prevent from...

I can't help going over the exercise again and again.

to ask, to expect,   to invite,  to like ......

Let's invite her to join us on this trip!

The murderer wanted all the victims to regard him as  a good friend before killing them.

Dans des expressions au prétérit : used to+Base verbale  ou   avec la forme going to

Thirty years ago a few people still used to make their coffee by using a coffee grinder.

I'm going to take a rest in my room.

Pour une action prévue à l'avance, déjà convenue avec to be to + Verbe :

I am to meet  the boss of the company at two o'clock.
