Bac/Places and forms of power
Message de throwthecheese posté le 10-05-2015 à 19:28:30 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,
voilà ma dernière notion, j'aimerais avoir vos avis et vos corrections si nécessaire sur mon travail.
Je vous remercie par avance en espérant avoir des retours

First of all, we are going to give a definition of power, which is the ability or capacity to act in a particular way, a control, domination or authority over someone or something, the power of influence someone. We are especially talking about the power of mass media, which are means of communication, sources of information. So now in a society in constant evolution and more and more connected to the internet, what is the influence of mass media and especially of press. All over the world there are multiple newspapers, TV channels and new online press. First as positives aspect of the press there is the share of the information, in fact written press or online press we can be informed any time about happenings in our city, our country, other continents and even in the space. But even today because of the huge influence of the press there are countries in which ones, the journalists can be murdered, the liberty of the press is inexistant. So we are going to talk about the dangers faced by the press in the past to understand nowadays influence of mass media. In fact people fought and defended their liberty ofexpression so in Great Britain or in the USA for example the situation is better. This example is going to show us the evolution in those countries. Without detailed description we can instantly see how society evolved in the USA and Great Biritain. So now let's talk about the main problem today, the influence of mass media, how media can change people's mind with just a title for example. When we search on internet it's incredible how the number of results about manipulation of mass media, or manipulation of public opinion by mass media it's high. Today not only in Great Britain or USA but also in France and European countries the public don't trust to the media and think that the press rhymes with manipulation. Is it just a paranoia or reality let's deal with an example. For innocent people were wrongly accused of being Boston Marathon bombing suspects by mass media. In fact especially online media spread and published false accusation about for innocent people who don't have any link with the Boston Marathon Bombings. But there was also written press like New York Post or The Post published articles about wrongly accused people. The Post for example claim that a person who was questionned about the bomberings was a suspect, but that person were only a witness The Post never apologized about that, the accused person was an english student but media called him The Saudi National. CNN announced in live that a suspect was identified by the police, the FBI respond telling that it's not true. Now let's talk about Sunil Tripathi who was found dead after the identification of the real culprits . He was wrongly accused by online media like Redit an 4chan, also his name circulated on twitter several hours after the bombering. His dead body was found by the police in a river. The family announce that it was a suicide but we don't know the causes. Media apologized after this incident. The reasons of this media lyching over innocent people is rasing the ratings, be watched by more ande more people, the will of making the first sensationnel article...
To conclude we can say that the liberty of experssion of media was obtained after huge figts and there are still countries where there is no liberty, the first aim of media is and suppose to be telling the truth to the population. But sometimes in order to sell as many newspaper as possible, raise ratings, media can spread false information and practice media lynching.

Bonsoir..

First of all, we are going to give a definition of power, which is the ability or capacity to act in a particular way, a control, domination or authority over someone or something, the power of influence (participe '-ing') someone. We are especially talking about the power of mass media, which are means of communication, sources of information. So now in a society in constant evolution and more and more connected to the Iinternet, what is the influence of mass media and especially of the press?. All over the world there are multiple newspapers, TV channels and new online press. First as positives(pas s au pluriel des adjectifs) aspects of the press there is the share of the information, in fact written press ('print media' serait mieux) or online press we can be informed any time about happenings in our city, our country, other continents and even in the space. But even today because of the huge influence of the press there are countries in which ones, the journalists can be murdered, the liberty of the press is inexistant nonexistent. So we are going to talk about the dangers faced by the press in the past to understand nowadays influence of mass media today. In fact people fought and defended their liberty of expression so in Great Britain or in the USA for example the situation is better. This example is going to show us the evolution (of what?) in those countries. Without detailed description we can instantly see how society evolved in the USA and Great Biritain. So now let's talk about the main problem today, the influence of mass media, how media can change people's minds with just a title for example. When we search on the Iinternet it's incredible how the number of results about manipulation of mass media, or manipulation of public opinion by mass media is incredibly high it's high. Today not only in Great Britain or USA but also in France and European countries the public don't trust to the media and think that the press rhymes with manipulation. Is it just a paranoia or reality? Llet's deal with an example. For (Four?) innocent people were wrongly accused of being Boston Marathon bombing suspects by the mass media. In fact especially online media spread and published false accusations about for (four?) innocent people who don't have any link with the Boston Marathon Bombings. But there was were also written press papers like New York Post or The Post which published articles about wrongly accused people. The Post for example claim(temps?) that a person who was questionned about the bomberings bombings was a suspect, but that person were (accorde?)only a witness The Post never apologized about that, the accused person was an Eenglish student but media called him The Saudi National. CNN announced in live that a suspect was identified by the police, the FBI respond (temps) telling that it's not true. Now let's talk about Sunil Tripathi who was found dead after the identification of the real culprits . He was wrongly accused by online media like Redit and 4chan, also his name circulated on Ttwitter several hours after the bombering. His dead body was found by the police in a river. The family announce (temps-preterit) that it was a suicide but we don't know the causes. Media apologized after this incident. The reasons of for this media lynching over of innocent people is raising the ratings,to be watched by more ande more people, the will of making the first sensationnel(orth.) article...
To conclude we can say that the liberty of experssion of media was obtained after huge fights and there are still countries where there is no liberty. (nouvelle phrase)Tthe first aim of media is and supposed to be telling the truth to the population. But sometimes in order to sell as many newspaper as possible, raise ratings, the media can spread false information and practice media lynching.
