Ex 198/let's go on hoping
Message de here4u posté le 27-02-2021 à 22:14:22 (S | E | F)
Hello!

I) Translate into English:

( It's much better in English! )

(130 words at most)

I think you'll need THE FORCE!

Ex 198/let's go on hoping. Translate into English: HELLO HERE4U FINISHED NOW

This case doesn't follow an "either-or" patern , but is rather a deal- actually it was a mistake that had been enhanced.

I have been through it before - despite my good intentions I know that things could go wrong: They never go the way you had
expected.

Anyone knows their limits and I think that I pushed you into overcoming yours.

He has had those nightmares intermittently since his father's death...

5. "Détends-toi !
Cool! keep the pressure down! don't worry about me, I'm just inquiring a little and you needn't bother.

( It's much better in English! )
We very too little seldom see each other at the moment.

(130 words at most)
No, whoever knowing himself well must not overcome his (her)limits without a good reason , something vital for exemple. In fact in
a chance when our life or our fellowman's (woman's) is at stake our brain will automaticaly respond and it will provide us an inkeeping
behaviour , whatever it is; nobody knows what this organ could be possibly make us do when in route.

bonjour à tous
I) Translate into English: BON A CORRIGER

This situation does not follow a pattern"all right- I admit" but rather a compromise...In fact it was a mistake that was magnified.

I've been through it all myself...Despite my good intentions, I know things could go wrong;they never go as expected

5. "Détends-toi !
"relax! Take the pressure off! don't worry about me,I am just asking around and you don't need to worry .."

( It's much better in English! )
We don't see each other very often these days.

This test is not relevant but I couldn't spend more time ; I'm sorry for that

yes, when you are young, so as not to fall into routine, that paralyzes new initiatives. Exceeding my limits, when we get older require a bit of reflection. I knowmy limits on a physical resistance level and the dangers that I’ll take when exceeding them; however, I will exceed my limits in any case (without endangering my life), because exceeding myseself is feeling fully alive, it brings personal satisfactions and new sensations.
Let's take a simple example : I want to reach a mountain top where the view is breathtaking ; However the slope requires an effort a little bit beyond my possibilities .Then I will exceed my physical limits to reach it. The result will be an incomparable pleasure : pleasure in sustaining an effort without giving up and pleasure in admiring a landscape 130

Good morning dear here4u,
As hope is the last to die,
I send you my try,
Ready to be corrected.

Relax ! Take the pressure off ! Don’t worry about me, I’m only collecting some information and you don’t need to get anxious….
( It's much better in English! )
Indeed we lately see each other rather quite rarely.
(130 words at most).
This is basically shareable, but to make it successfully realized we have accurately to examine several factors, because the tasks related to the attempts would be very different, as commitment and difficulties would be very different depending on the issues to cope with: sports, finance, literature, politics, acting etc. 48
Before engaging themselves in such endeavours, the “candidates” should ask to themselves: 12
1 – Who would achieve this goal is me. Would I be physically and psychologically suitable for the purpose?
2 -What benefits would I expect by going beyond my limits ?30
3 - When would the endeavour be carried on?
4 - Where should the performance take place?
5 - Why would the enterprise be worth being tried?
6 - How demanding in terms of risks, expenses and dangerous aftermaths would it be?
And then make the decision. 128

Thanking for the demanding exercise, I wish you a pleasant weekend.
So long.
Joe 39

READY TO BE CORRECTED

Hello Here4U
Thanks for your exercise I did what I could and I'm sure I'll learn many things

I) Translate into English:

This situation doesn't follow an "either...or..." pattern but rather a compromise... Actually, it was a mistake that has been amplified.

I've been there... Despite my good intentions, I know that things could go wrong; they never go the way we expect.

Everyone has their own limits and I think I pushed you into surpassing yours.

He's had those nightmares on and off since his father died...

5. "Détends-toi !
Relax! Take the pressure off! Don't worry about me, I'm only getting some information and you don't need to worry...

( It's much better in English! )
We haven't really been seeing each other so much lately...

(130 words at most)

The answer is definitely yes. Everyone must try and outdo himself, to improve. Whoever does not progress regresses. Each age has its own challenges, be it physical or intellectual.

Obviously, it's much easier said than done, especially for some people who don't naturally have the energy, the staminia, the guts to make efforts on a daily basis...
But I quite agree with what an eighty-year-old man who was still doing a lot of sports said : "If we listen to ourselves, it's the beginning of death"... (90W)

Hello, dear Friends!

I) Translate into English:

It’s not an "either... or situation..." there’s rather a middle ground... Really, it was a mistake that was blown out of proportion...

- un schéma : follow a pattern/ a plan/
- compromis : a compromise/ a middle ground/
- amplifier : amplify/ grow/ increase/ escalate/ to blow (out of proportion)/

I’ve been there before… and despite my best intentions, things might get messy; they never turn the way that you expect them to.

- «I’ve been there before!» / I’ve been in your shoes!/ I’ve gone through that!/
- Despite my best intentions/ though my intentions are good/ though I mean well/
- Se gâter : to get worse/ get messy/
- Se passer : happen/ occur/ take place/ go by/

Everyone has their limits and I’ve figured I have pushed you past yours.

- Avoir/ atteindre/ dépasser mes limites : I have limits/ to reach limits/ to push limits/ to stretch and grow/

These nightmares have been happening to him on and off since his father died.

- par intermittence : fitfully/ in and out/ in fits and starts/ intermittently/ off and on/ on and off
- depuis la mort de son père : since his father’s death/ since his father died/

5. Détends-toi !

Take it easy! Take it down a notch! Don’t worry about me, I’m just enquiring a little and you don’t need to be worried about what I’m up to…

- Détends-toi ! relax/ Take it easy!/
- Faire baisser la pression : to lower the pressure/ bring the pressure down/ decrease the pressure/ reduce the pressure/ To take it down a notch/
- Se renseigner : to inquire (US)/ enquire (GB)
- préparer/ mijoter : incomber à : to be up to something

Our meetings are too few and far between just now…

They're «far between»= elles sont trop espacées

Well done !
