Hello

Hello,

The summer holidays started beginning of July, a time Kevin particularly loves. He can do whatever he wants, well, almost, for Mum is watching. We usually prefer to let him have fun, rather than prevent him from enjoying his vacations. One day I took him to a Japanese restaurant, for I know how much he loves sushi. We enjoyed this lunch-for-two enormously. He'll be 6 next week. Time flies by so quickly!
He's now gone with his parents for a few days. When he returns, he will have a big party for his birthday. He'll get presents too. Last February, he had let me have a list of things among which I could choose what I wanted to give him. He is such a well-organized little boy!

Hello Lucile,

Thanks a lot for this new exercise

Nearly 6 years old ...

The summer holidays started at the beginning of July and Kevin loves that period.
He does what he wants, finally, almost, because his Mum takes care. But generally we prefer to please him rather than to prevent him from enjoying holidays.
One day I took him along in a Japanese restaurant because I know he likes eating sushis.
We liked that lunch very much, right for us two.
Next week he will be 6. How time passes quickly!
He left during a few days with his parents. When he returns, he will have a big party for his birthday.
He will get gifs too.
Last February, he had given me a list of things between which I could choose what I wanted to offer to him.
He's always well organized!

Have a nice day.

But mostly we prefer to please him rather than prevent him from making the most of his holiday. One day I took him in a Japanese restaurant because I know he loves eating sushis. Hello

See you later

Voici ma proposition:

Summer holidays started at the beginning of July, and Kevin loves this period. He can do all that he wants, well, not exactly all, because Mother is watching him. But we generally let him have fun rather than prevent him from enjoying his holidays. One day I took him to a Japanese restaurant as I know he likes eating sushi. The two of us really enjoyed having lunch together. Next week he will turn 6. How time flies!
He has gone with his parents for a few days. When he comes back, he will be having a great birthday party. He will be offered gifts too. Last February he gave me a list of things from which I could choose what to get him. He is always well-organised!

Quelques commentaires:

-The summer holidays have started…non, on doit employer le prétérit; action passée, datée et terminée.
-Prevent from + -ing.
-How time flies suffit car le verbe fly ici exprime la vitesse et il est inutile de rajouter fast ou quickly.
-Last February, he had given…oops; le prétérit est de rigueur.
-When he will come back … oops !! un autre gros piège.
-Choisir entre X ou Y =choose between X or Y. Choisir entre plusieurs choses = choose from several things.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
choose between A and/or B She had to choose between staying in the UK or going home.

Lien internet

-Well- organised avec trait d’union.

Hello

Sorry I didn't get around to posting this sooner...

Summer vacation started at the beginning of July and Kevin loves this stretch of time. He can do what he pleases, well, almost because mom is watching. But in general we like for him to have fun instead of keeping him from enjoying his vacation time. One day I met him at a Japanese restaurant because I know he likes sushi. We very much liked our lunch, just the two of us. The following week, he'll be six. How time flies! He left for several days with his parents. When they return, he will have a big birthday party. He will get some gifts too. Last February, he gave me a list from which I could choose what to get him. He is so well organized.

Bonsoir Lucile,

- de même que la dernière phrase : He has always been a well-organised little boy! ( avec un sourire à la clè )

Merci

Réponse: Bientôt 6 ans/Thème de lucile83, postée le 28-08-2013 à 08:20:32 (S | E)
Bonjour moka81,

- Mother/Mum is watching him exprime au contraire la surveillance permanente et en plus c'est un clin d'oeil au célèbre 'Big Brother is watching you' de G.Orwell dans son roman 1984.

- He is always well-organised est un état permanent, avec le verbe to be qui ne sera pas mis au present perfect de ce fait, mais laissé au présent.

Bonsoir Lucile,

- The two of us really enjoyed having lunch together.
Et puis sur cette phrase aussi :
- He will be having a great birthday party.
- I could choose what to get him.
Merci beaucoup!

Hello sanna,

- The two of us really enjoyed having lunch together.
Lien internet

- He will be having a great birthday party.

- I could choose what to get him....voir ce lien
Lien internet

bring
4 [transitive]
to go to a place and bring somebody/something back
Synonym fetch
get somebody/something Quick— go and get a cloth!
Somebody get a doctor!
I have to go and get my mother from the airport (= collect her).
get something for somebody Get a drink for John.
get somebody/yourself something Get John a drink.

He will be offered gifts too. Last February he gave me a list of things from which I could choose what to get him.
