Thème grammatical

Hello, could you help me to correct my mistakes please? Thanks!

AN EERIE DISAPPEARANCE (the scene took place in a Scottish castle during the year 2000. Two robbers just penetrated the basements of the huge abode.
- "Don't be so noisy, goodness," murmured the chief of the expedition Jimmy to his accomplice Billy whom he recuited two weeks earlier in an ill-famed pub of the suburb of Glasgow.
- "I'm doing my best, boss, but I can't see anything in the dark, and I'm not very at ease with all this stuff I'm carrying on my back for hours. I'm wondering how much this bag who must be fulled of tools from another era weighs."
- "Shut up and crawl, Billy! In our job, you must know that a hammer, a pair of pliers or a monkey wrench, it can always serve. Anyway it's no use complaining now, or you shouldn't have accepted to join with me. I thought you wanted to earn a lot of money to wed your wife, wouldn't you? ...In short, according to the compass, we are on the good direction, but we could really think we are in a maze. Fortunately I could find the castle plan last week on the Internet..."

je ne suis pas une spécialiste du thème, mais j'ai noté quelques points à revoir. Je laisse le soin à de purs spécialistes de compléter, voire rectifier:

(the scene took place (utiliser le présent comme en français)in a Scottish castle during the year 2000. Two robbers just penetrated (présent perfect)the basements of the huge abode
- whom he recuited (concordance des temps, cette action est antérieure)two weeks earlier in an ill-famed pub
- I'm carrying on my back for hours: depuis implique d'utiliser le présent perfect pour marquer une action commencée dans le passé et qui continue dans le présent.
how much this bag who (pas le bon relatif car l'antécédent n'est pas une personne)must be fulled (full suffit)of tools from another era weighs."
- a hammer, a pair of pliers or a monkey wrench, it can always serve: enlever it, qui n'est pas le sujet de servir + employer le verbe to be useful plutôt que serve.
- or you shouldn't have accepted to join with me: enlever with.
- to wed: ?
- we are on (pas la bonne préposition) the good direction
Fortunately I could (could n'est pas possible dans ce contexte, chercher: être capable de, réussir à)find the castle plan last week on the Internet..."

Good evening Laure and thank you for helping me!

AN EERIE DISAPPEARANCE (the scene take place in a Scottish castle during the year 2000. Two robbers have just penetrated the basements of the huge abode.
- "Don't be so noisy, goodness," murmured the chief of the expedition Jimmy to his accomplice Billy whom he had recuited two weeks earlier in an ill-famed pub of the suburb of Glasgow.
- "I'm doing my best, boss, but I can't see anything in the dark, and I'm not very at ease with all this stuff (I have carried / I have been carrying : les deux fonctionnent ? j'aurais tendance à choisir le second mais bon...) on my back for hours. I'm wondering how much this bag which must be full of tools from another era weighs."
- "Shut up and crawl, Billy! In our job, you must know that a hammer, a pair of pliers or a monkey wrench can always be useful. Anyway it's no use complaining now, or you shouldn't have accepted to join (with) me.
j'avais trouvé ça sur wordreference pourtant : Lien internet

I thought you wanted to earn a lot of money to wed (j'avais vu ce verbe dans un livre donc normalement il existe ) your wife, wouldn't you? ...In short, according to the compass, we are in the good/right direction, but we could really think we are in a maze. Fortunately I managed to find the castle plan last week on the Internet..."

Hello,

Yes you can say "to wed". It's not as common as "to marry"

we are on the right path...
we are going in the right direction
