Summer/correction
Message de vaiana posté le 31-05-2019 à 16:59:57 (S | E | F)
Good sunny afternoon everyone!
Here are some sentences from the book La grammaire anglaise par les exercices (A. Spratbrow) I've tried to translate into English.
Could you help me correct them by pinpointing my mistakes, please?
Thanks

Ils s'aimaient beaucoup.
They loved a lot each other /one another.

They kissed each other at least three times a day!
They would /they used to kiss each other at least three times/day!

They will look at each other/one another without hate, in a few years.

En ce temps-là, ils se battaient nus.
At that time, they fought each other/one another naked.

Elles se sourirent de suite.
They smiled each other straightaway.

They felt in love each other at the first glance.

Ils se respecteront toujours.
They will always respect them one another.

Nous nous dépassions toujours dans les virages.
We always overtook each other in turns.

Ils se réuniront l'an prochain.
They will gather next year.

They touch their hands each other, to be sure the nightmare was really done.

They smiled to at each other. (Think of "look at".)
They fell in love (l'un de l'autre ) on at first glance (bon, ou "sight").
They will always respect themselves (bon, ou "each other"/"one another" selon le cas)
They touch(èrent ) their hands in order to insure (= cover with an insurance policy) themselves the nightmare was really done over. ("Done" signifie plutôt accompli ou achevé.)

NB. US: "On weekends, call me at this number." GB: "At weekends, call me on this number." Je te réponds en tant qu'américain.

See you

HELLO!

Quelques compléments ...

ls s'aimaient beaucoup.
They loved each other /one another a lot. OK

They kissed each other at least three times a day!Kiss = s'embrasser ! Lien internet

They would /they used to kiss each other at least three times/day!

En ce temps-là, ils se battaient nus.
At that time, they fought naked.OK

Elles se sourirent de suite.
They smiled to each other straightaway.

They fell in love on first glance. Love at first sight = coup de foudre !

Ils se respecteront toujours.
They will always respect themselves.

They touch their hands in order to insure themselves the nightmare was really done.
