Believe ou think

Bonjour,
je me retrouve à avoir un doute sur une phrase qui semble "très simple".
Comment traduiriez-vous s'il vous plaît "Je te mets ci-dessous ce que je crois avoir compris".
De mon côté je dirais "You will find here below what I believe that I have understood" ou alors "I have listed here below what I think that I have understood"
Merci par avance pour votre aide.
Très bonne journée.

Hi,
Why not:
Just below is what I think I have understood.
Believe is not suitable,I ...think!
Best wishes.

Bonjour Lucile,
merci beaucoup pour ta réponse.
Comment savoir si l'on doit traduire "penser" par to think ou to believe ?
Merci beaucoup par avance.

think = penser
believe = croire
The two words are more or less interchangeable when followed by a subordinate clause expressing a fact. Perhaps "believe" expresses a slightly higher degree of certainty on the part of the speaker, but there's no significant difference between the two (nor is there in French if I'm not mistaken).
If expressing an opinion, then "think" should be used. (I think this ice cream is delicious!)
