Une lettre - Correction
Message de spouh posté le 01-06-2009 à 18:18:25 (S | E | F)

Bonjour/Bonsoir !

Merci beaucoup d'avance !

-----------------------------------------------------------

My dearest Julia,

I’m so sorry, I haven’t written earlier and I apologize. But I was totally stunned when I read your letter. When I heard you playing with the Mozart, I didn’t realize that something was wrong.

A few days ago, I had hearing [ = j’ai entendu dire ? ] that you had some health problems but I thought that you had a cold or something like that …
I feel so bad for not being with you, I would like to help you in this instant which must be so difficult to live.

Don’t worry about Luke. When I saw you both at the park, I could easily understand how formidable mother you are. To cannot hear anymore don’t mean you are a less good mother. I’m sure that James will assist you to raise your son.
In your letter, you asked me if all this make a difference between us.
Of course it doesn’t. It doesn’t matter if you become deaf. I will always play the violin for you and the quartet. Plus, you are a wonderful and irreplaceable musician. I don’t want to stop the adventure, so I want you to remain our pianist.
Before I met you again, my life was become monotone and pointless ; all was annoying, even my music. I remember when we were together ten years ago, and I think it was the best part of my life …

I had been madly in love with you, and I am wondering if today I have the same feelings.
I’m so mystified and disgraceful by myself. I must confess you something terrible which haunts me for months. Although you are now married and have a child, I have regrets about breaking up with you. Had I make a mistake?

When I accidentally recognize you at this concert at Bristol, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Something strange was invading me, and after this evening, I couldn’t stop to think of you. I don't know how I've lived without you all these years.

It's hard for me to identify what it is about you that attracts me so. There are things in life that are inevitable; I am powerless to control them …
Without you, my life was empty of all inspiration. As a composer needs a theme to create a timeless melody, I need you. In the past, the proper words have escaped me, and I was so indecisive and immature.

It is made me crazy to admit you that ; you have a family and many responsibilities. But I don’t want to have more regrets, and I just want to let you know it.
I should meet up with you in London, but please answer me as soon as you receive my letter.

Yours forever,
Michael.

Bonjour, voici ce que tu dois corriger:
My dearest Julia,

I’m so sorry, I haven’t written (couldn't have written you) earlier and I apologize. But I was totally stunned when I read your letter. When I heard you playing with the Mozart, I didn’t realize that something was wrong.

A few days ago, I had hearing (prétérit) that you had some health problems but I thought that you had a cold or something like that …
I feel so bad for not being with you, I would like to help you in this instant which must be so difficult to live.

Don’t worry about Luke. When I saw you both at the park, I could easily understand how formidable mother you are. To cannot hear anymore don’t (doesn't) mean you are a less good mother.
Before I met you again, my life was become (becoming) monotone and pointless ; all was annoying, even my music. I remember when we were together ten years ago, and I think it was the best part of my life …

I had been (preterit) madly in love with you, and I am wondering if today I have the same feelings.
I’m so mystified and disgraceful by myself. I must confess you something terrible which haunts (present perfect) me for months. Although you are now married and have a child, I have regrets about breaking up with you. Had (did) I make a mistake?

When I accidentally recognize (preterit) you at this (that) concert at (in) Bristol, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Something strange was invading me, and after this evening, I couldn’t stop to think (gérondif) of you. I don't know how I've lived without you all these years.

It's hard for me to identify what it is about you that attracts me so. There are things in life that are inevitable; I am powerless to control them …
Without you, my life was (présent) empty of all inspiration.

Yours forever,
Michael.
