Message de belltolls posté le 05-07-2014 à 14:38:22 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,

"New outing for team "the bik-er"
I find that the number of "km" added for the cycling part is not very fair if we make Mountain Bike and should also take into account the elevation.
For me the effort in mountain is not the same that on road, it is true all the more as over 2 hours of training, we are also penalized with regard to the number of traveled kilometers.
This distinction would also be made in running...
What do you think about ?
Knowing that the sloping lakes are not still very wide-spread, nothing is to modify in swimming part !"

Merci d'avance pour vos réponses et votre aide.

Hello
I'm sorry I know absolutely nothing about bikes and mountain bikes in particular ... but well ... A little help is better than none at all ...

"New outing for team "the bik-er"
I find that the number of "km"kilometers added for the cycling part is not very fair if we make Mountain Bike and should also take into account the elevation.ici, je mettrais un passif (elevation should be taken into account as it makes biking much more difficult)
For me the effort in the mountain is not the same that ]AS on a/the road, ???it is true all the more as over 2 hours of training,(sorry, I can't understand ... not clear; can you explain ?) we are also penalized with regard(considering) to the number of traveled kilometers.
This distinction would also be made in running...
What do you think about ? ??? Not clear either ...
Knowing that the sloping lakes are not stillordre des mots) very wide-spread, nothing is to modify in the swimming part !"
if you make it a little clearer, I might (...) help a little more !

???it is true all the more as over 2 hours of training,(sorry, I can't understand ... not clear; can you explain ?)
=> I want to say that we can't do in 2 hours the same kilometers in a Mountain Bike trip and in a outing with a racing cycle.
I use "it is true all the more as", to try to translate a French expression : "cela est d'autant plus vrai"

What do you think about ?
=> I just want to know if people agree with what I am saying
Thank you for your help, I know that I still have a long way to go to speak good English

Hello !
I'm not meaning that your English is bad, but that what you're asking is terribly technical for people who are no experts ! , 'it's all the truer as' ... or 'all the more verified as' ....mais ce sont les 2 heures de training que je ne comprends pas ...but what you say in the explanation you're giving me is good: 'it's obvious that within 2 hours, the same distance can't be done in a Mountain bike trip as in a normal racing bike outing ! (That's mere common sense ! )'

'The distinction should( devrait) be the same for running'. 'I' m sure that everyone agrees with this obvious fact, which is only common sense!' ( je ne poserais pas la question, mais imposerais la conclusion ...)

'Are still not as ...as '/ ou 'are not as ... as ...yet '! . ( here, you're clearly making fun of them, but they deserve it, don't they ? )
Hope I've got it now ....

Merci beaucoup pour votre aide, cela a permis de me faire mieux comprendre.

Voici le message posté dans son intégralité :

I'am sorry "here4u" but I did not understand very well how must be used :
"Are still not as ...as '/ ou 'are not as ... as ...yet" (so I did not integrate it into the text)
"but they deserve it, don't they ?" : Yes, but I'm not very fair maybe
