Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

2- The priest, minister etc of a parish, usually of the Church of England. ..... (r n p s)

3- Anxious or very worried. ..... (n c f t r) 2

4- To amaze or puzzle. ..... (d w l b r) 3

5- A strange person or thing. ..... (d t d) 3

6- Too much concerned with detail. ..... (k n f c) 3

7- A short stroke which is used to join two parts of a word or phrase, as in co-exist. ..... (p h n h) 2

8- The speech defect of being unable to produce easily certain sounds. ..... (m m s r t) 2

Hi everybody!

Here is my work:
1- A part taken from a book etc. (p x r t c) 2 excerpt = extrait.
2- The priest, minister etc of a parish, usually of the Church of England. (r n p s)parson = pasteur.
3- Anxious or very worried.(n c f t r) 2 frantic = dans tous ses états, hors de soi.
4- To amaze or puzzle.(d w l b r) 3 bewilder = dérouter, rendre perplexe.
5- A strange person or thing. (d t d) 3 oddity = bizarrerie, curiosité.
6- Too much concerned with detail. ..... (k n f c) 3 finicky = pointilleux, méticuleux, minutieux.
7- A short stroke which is used to join two parts of a word or phrase, as in co-exist. (p h n h) 2 hyphen = trait d'union.
8- The speech defect of being unable to produce easily certain sounds.(m m s r t) 2 stammer = bégaiement.
9- A gift offered to persuade a person to do something, usually dishonest. (b r b) 2 bribe = pot de vin, bakchich.
10- A synonym of "to give up".(q l h n r s) 4 relinquish = lâcher, abandonner, renoncer à.

2- The priest, minister etc of a parish, usually of the Church of England. ..... parson

3- Anxious or very worried. ..... frantic

4- To amaze or puzzle. ..... bewilder

5- A strange person or thing. ..... oddity

6- Too much concerned with detail. ..... finicky

7- A short stroke which is used to join two parts of a word or phrase, as in co-exist. ..... hyphen

8- The speech defect of being unable to produce easily certain sounds. ..... stammer

9- A gift offered to persuade a person to do something, usually dishonest. ..... bribe

10- A synonym of "to give up". ..... relinquish
