What does 'climbed in with' in this sentence mean please?
She must have had bad dreams and climbed in with our mother.

I'd guess that a child became frightened during the night and got into bed with her mother for comfort.

Hello ,
Indeed, the little girl was too small for her mother's( parents ´) bed and as she must have got frightened by a nightmare , she couldn't just lie on the adult' s ( adults' ) bed which was too high for her : she had to climb in it and discreetly too .
