COMMENT SE FORME LE PLUS-QUE-PARFAIT (PLUPERFECT - PAST PERFECT) ?
HAD + Participe passé du Verbe
QUAND EMPLOIE-T-ON LE PLUS-QUE-PARFAIT (PLUPERFECT - PAST PERFECT) ?
=> Le plus-que-parfait s'emploie pour parler d'une action qui s'est déroulée avant une autre action passée. Nous avons donc deux actions dans le passé à des moments différents.
Dans ce cas :
La première action se met au plus-que-parfait
La deuxième action se met au prétérit
Exemple :
- He had lived in Paris before he went to London

Le plus-que-parfait (Pluperfect) est en fait construit avec la forme passée du Present Perfect !
Regardez :
- I have presented my project => I had presented my projet
- He has met her => He had met her
Le plus-que-parfait s'emploie également avec JUST, ALREADY,EVER, NEVER
Exemples :
- I had already met her (je l'avais déjà rencontrée)
- When we arrived, the train had already left (quand nous sommes arrivés, le train était déjà parti).
