Ilove cooking, especially a chocolate cake made with no flour, hard to make but yummy!

Hi,
I like specially chocolate cake but lot of my cake a so very bad, they don't swell up. I've to add lot of chemic additives.

I love cooking .The first thing I bought with my very first salary was a collection of recipes'books! I have now five collections ,especially french and african's recipes.I love doing cakes, my favorite is "gateau marbre"it's very easy to make ,some eggs,sugar,butter,milk,yeast and your house will smell nicely.You can put it in your fridge for ages and eat slice by slice every day with a cup of good coffee..Enjoy your meal.

Thinking about cooking,I remember a sweet sirup from Cote D'Ivoire (West Africa).It 's called "bissap" and it's made of flowers of african sorrel>."bissap" seems to become the main drink to welcome people in this part of the world.

Can you use your "bissap" sirup in some cake recipes? or is it only used as a drink?
Apart from being sweet, has it got a special flavour? (spicy? flowery? bitter?)
In England, you can make a very lovely drink with some elderflowers. It's called the "Elderflower cordial". You bring to the boil the heads of elderflowers + granulated sugar and water. You peel very finely two unwaxed lemons and you put the lemon slices in a bowl. You can add some orange slices if you like. You pour the boiling syrup in the bowl, over the slices. You leave the mixture for 24 hours. Then, you must strain it through a special sieve... fill up a few bottles... and put a lid on! 
When serving, we dilute the "elderflower cordial" with fizzy water and serve it over some cubes of ice, with a slice of lemon, or a sprig of fresh mint.What I love is to eat some vanilla ice cream with a few drops of undiluted "elderflower cordial" poured over the top!

Our national bissap is only a sweet sirup which can't be used in another recipe (for now).We mix it sometimes with some juice of pineapple and flovours like vanilla or mint.And you Know what? If you are invited to a watch in my country ,and you are not used to alcohol,avoid drinking bissap there,because sometimes they add alcohol to the bissap in order to keep you awake for the whole night
