Bonjour, est-ce que quelqu'un peut me corriger cet exercice s'il vous plaît?
IL fallait mettre les verbes entre parenthèses à la bonne forme. Je les ai tous faits sauf un que je ne savais pas (j'ai mis des ? à l'emplacement de ce verbe).
The young boy (be)was born in an underprivileged district of Chicago.
He (have)had a very bad start in life. Indeed, his mother, who (need+not)didn’t need another hungry mouth to feed, (feel)felt depressed since she (can+not)couldn’tprovide her children with all they (need)needed
Either she (never+be)has never been married or her husband (leave)left her, anyway she (be)was out of work for several years and (have to)had to bring up a large family on her own.
The child (grow up)grew up and (become)became a teenager. Gradually, he (realize)realized that he (have)had no real prospect in life and as he (have)had no one to take care of him, he (start)started hanging about the streets where he (meet)met up with "the wrong sort of people" who little by little (drag)dragged him to delinquency and then to his downfall. First, he (steal)stole in the local shop, then he (break)broke into a house and finally he (buy)bought a gun and (be) was killed while he (try)was trying to steal a car.
or: Finally, he (buy)boughta gun and as he (be)was desperate-he (long/be)???????? aware that he (have)had no future-he (commit)committed suicide.

A l'évidence, tu as bien compris l'exercice.
=> Either she (never+be)has never been married <= Pourquoi ce present perfect tout à coup ? Le preterit était-il impossible ?
=> or: Finally, he (buy)bought a gun and as he (be)was desperate-he (long/be)HAD long BEEN aware that he (have)had no future-he (commit)committed suicide.

Hello !
Pour le second paragraphe, je dirais :
- she had never been married
- her husband had left her
- she had been out of work for ...
Ces actions avaient débuté avant les autres actions passées.
