Read the story of when Dave Mascott met his hero, and put the verb in brackets in the Past simple or past continuous.

The famous American rock star Bob Goldhart (a)........... (do) a tour of Britain when he (b).........(meet) British rock star Dave wells at a party. As he (c)............. (leave), Dave (d)............ (invite) Bob to come to his house and (e)........... (tell) him the address. But Bob (f)............ (make) mistake as he (g).............. The next day, Helen Mascott of 145 Addison London (h)......... (listen) to the radio in her kitchen when the doorbell (I).......... (ring). A man with long hair (j)............. (stand) outside. She (k) ........ (think) the man(I)................ (look) familiar but (m).............anything (not say). Is Dave in?' the man (n)........... The famous American rock star Bob Goldhart was doing a tour of Britain when he met British rock star Dave wells at a party. As he left ,Dave invited Bob to come to his house and told him the address. But Bob made mistake as he was written down the address: he wrote 'Addison Street’ of "Addison Road
The next day, Helen Mascott of 145 Addison London was listening to the radio in her kitchen when the doorbell rang. A man with long hair was stanfing outside. She thought the man looked familiar but didn't say anything. Is Dave in?' the man asked. The woman - whose husband’s name was also Dave - explained that Dave was doing the shopping but he would be back in a few minutes. She invited come in and wait.-While Helen was making some coffee, he looked around the living room and was very happy to see all of his albums! A few minutes later, Dave arrived home, 'You've got a visitor,' Helen told her -husband, When Dave - a big, big fan of Bob Goldhart opened the living room door andsaw who was waiting for him..he fainted !!
