Bonjour,

I Found it
A half-hour later, Jane Dupont was back to the hotel. She found / came across the detective, in the veranda which was bathed in sunlight, who was finishing his / one's breakfast, by peacefully peering at the young waitress' calves who cleaned the windows.
"I found it !" exclaimed the Einglishwoman from the doorway of the room.
Lester jumped, and the waitress almost felt off the stool.
Jane Dupont sat in front of the policeman and leant over to talk him in low voice, because she has noticed that the household of the hotel had left her perch and watched her with curiosity, holding her bottle of Ajax and her duster.

Until recently, the consensus of climate scientists was that the impact of melting polar ice sheets would be negligible over the next 100 years. Ice sheets were thought to be extremely slow in reacting to atmospheric warming. The 2001 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, widely considered to be an authoritative scientific statement on the potential impacts of global warming, based its conclusions about sea-level rise on a computer model that predicted a slow onset of melting in Greenland.
« When you look at the ice sheet, the models didn't work, which puts us on shaky ground » said Richard Alley, a geosciences professor at Pennsylvania State University.

CORRECTED:
I Found it
Half an hour later, Jane Dupont was back AT the hotel. She found / came across (BOTH GOOD) the detective (NO COMMA) ON the veranda which was bathed in sunlight, who was finishing HIS (REFERS TO SOMEONE IN SPECIFIC) breakfast, WHILE (OMIT PEACEFULLY) peering at the young waitress' calves who WAS CLEANING (ONGOING ACTION) the windows.
"I found it !" exclaimed the English woman from the doorway (of the room).
Lester jumped, and the waitress almost felt off the stool.
Jane Dupont sat in front of (‘FACING THE POLICEMAN’ MAYBE BETTER) the policeman and leant over to talk him in low voice, because she has noticed that the HOTEL'S ---(I DON’T KNOW WHAT A ‘DOMESTIQUE’ IS, BUT ‘HOUSEHOLD’ IS WRONG, AVOID THE ‘OF THE HOTEL’, USE AN APOSTROPHE)had left her perch and WAS WATCHING (ONGOING ACTION) her with curiosity, holding her bottle of Ajax and her duster (IN HER HAND).

the hotel's servant"."Household" traduit les tâches ménagères...

Thank's Marlond

In the text, the "domestique" is the waitress who is cleaning the windows.
A dictionnary's definition is :"Someone who maintain a house, hotel,... ; Synonym : domestic employee".

Can I write :"...she has noticed that the hotel's servant..." or "hotel's domestic employee" ?

Merci
Donc "hotel's servant" irait.

Lien Internet

half-hour (hfour, häf-)n.
1. A period of 30 minutes.

References in classic literature
A half-hour later, the Lion ...

Hors sujet :

'A half-hour later' is very American and it's quite slangy (argot). It's not good British English and you'd never really write it in an essay/translation....

Hello !

Je dirais plutôt :

- ... peering at the calves of the waitress who was cleaning the windows (l'antécédent de "who" est "waitress" et pas "calves")(la "domestique" est la jeune serveuse).

- ... because she had noticed ... (concordance des temps)

- Half an hour later ...
