Je viens de m'incrire sur ce site qu'il a l'air particulièrement intéressant. Je m'appelle mikael, j'ai 23 ans. Je suis ingénieur et j'ai récemment traduit mon CV en anglais.
Je voulais savoir si quelqu'un de billingue en anglais pourrait relire mon CV afin d'en corriger les fautes d'orthographe(s) et de grammaires.

- XXX "Emballage" ??? Je propose packing ou packaging, s'il s'agit bien d'emballer qqch.

Voici quelques précisions :
- Le mot "Emballage" est la fin du nom de l’entreprise, c’est pour cette raison que je ne l'ai pas traduit en anglais.
- J’ai utilisé "worker placement" pour parler d’un stage ouvrier. Je pense que "work placement" se traduit par un stage de travail … Mais je me trompe peut être …

Je parle anglais comme langue maternelle. Si vous avez une question, dites-le-moi, et j'essaierai expliquer la raison pour laquelle j'ai suggeré quelquechose. De temps en temps, il est difficile traduire quelquechose à cause des différences entre les deux systèmes d'éducation. Il y a vraiment beaucoup de choses sans aucune signification en anglais... Il faut que vous me les expliquiez si vous voulez d'aide.

J'utilise le mot "domain" pour présenter les principales matières de ma formation, ce n’est pas véritablement une spécialisation. Perhaps I can use the word "courses":

Je ne suis toujours pas convaincu que je comprends exactement ce que vous voulez dire ici. La traduction la plus commune de "souligner" en anglais est le mot "emphasize".

Mais, je doute que "control machines" soit le terme correct... mais il est tout possible qu'un ingénieur anglais saurait la signification de ce terme. Je ne le comprends point (ni en français, ni en anglais). Il faut s'en souvenir qu'en anglais, le mot "control" n'a jamais le sens de vérifier, toujours celui de diriger/maîtriser.

Effectivement je souhaite rédiger mon CV en anglais Britannique. Il me semble que dans ce cas il est préférable de mettre les verbes d'actions au prétérit ("ed")

Le temps d'intervention sur la machine de production est le MTTR qui est un paramètre intervenant dans le calcul de la disponibilité (Availaibility).
Sauf erreur de ma part MTTR : Mean Time To Repair
Les devices of control sont je pense les outillages de fabrication (manufacturing tools).
Donc je chnagerai plutôt votre phrase en :
"To reduce the MTTR of manufacturing tools"
Concernant :
Production of the component.
