My favourite band is Nirvana, with no hesitation (Humm... I'm not sure it's the good stock phrase...)
I love their songs, I've translated most of them, and it learnt me many words!! (but I still need to make progress in english)

It's depending on the kind of music:

Gothic: Type O negative, Within Temptation
Metal: Freak Kitchen Audioslave
Pop: Pink Floyd
Celtic: Tri Yann, Sinead O'Connor, Iona Mc Kellit
Blues: Calvin Russel
Classic: Mozart (especially the amazing Requiem)
Barber "the ninnth Symphony"
