Hello dears,
Another easy exercice that everyone can do! Let's write together...

1) Do you have a habit that you'd like to get rid of?

2) Should we yield to temptations, or resist them?

3) Do you have a favourite quotation or proverb?

Go for it! with THE FORCE.

Hello dears,

An answer already!

Let's Suggest 116: topic 2: Should we yield to temptations or resist them? Please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy to you.

If we believe Oscar Wilde: " the only way to get ride of a temptation is to yield to it."
On the other hand, in the Catholic religion, there is a prayer that asks God: "Do not submit us to temptation", because being tempted is the door open to all exces, giving in to the devil and doing every capital sins."
Nevertheless, yielding to temptation allows us to seize upon our desires, to free ourself from the tension and obsession that can arise from an unsatisfied temptation.

The way we choose to deal with our impulses is important.
As long as we respect the ethics, that our behavior do not hurt anyone and do not harm others or ourselves, temptation can be a good thing .
We can be tempted by an adventure, a challenge, an exciting risk, breaking taboos. Life would be monotonous and unchanging without temptation to move us forward.
However, in the face of negative, illegal, or criminal desirs, resisting gives us the opportunity to exercise self-control.
Summing up the maint point: Each person has their own free will to take their responsibilities depending on circumstances, weighing up the pros and cons.

for your help!

An interesting text, but a few careless mistakes.

Hello!

Are you still here?

ANSWER B: Please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy to you.

Topic 3) Do you have a favourite quotation or proverb?

One of my favourite proverbs is 'The best is the enemy of the good'. As many other sayings, you have to interprete it very carefully. For example, what is 'good' ? Because of course, this proverb is not an excuse to botch your job! Indeed, you have to strive until you feel you have done your best. It is a matter of perceiving exactly when you have done enough for your work. Maybe you'll have to accept some uncertainty: what is it that your next effort will bring? Because the line may be very thin and subtle between improving and spoiling... I guess a lot of artists have faced this dilemma! Not only artists, by the way... I remember that as I was preparing some lessons, I sometimes felt that, even if I was always very well-meaning, I had to stop before adding to many details, or doing useless digressions. There were different points of view to consider, and improving from one of them might have been a worsening from another one.

for your help!

Hello!

Any other improvements? my indications.

If we believe Oscar Wilde: " the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."
On the other hand, in the Catholic religion, ( a prayer asks God: "Do not submit us to temptation", (the usual sentence is "lead us not into temptation", or more modern "do not lead us ...") because being tempted opens the door to all (excess/all sorts of abuses, giving in to the devil and committing every capital sin."
Nevertheless, yielding to temptation allows us to seize upon our desires, to free (ourselves from the tension and obsession that can arise from an unsatisfied temptation.

The way we choose to deal with our impulses is important.
As long as we respect () ethics, if our behaviour does not hurt anyone and does not harm others or ourselves, temptation can be a good thing .
"If" is not necessary: As long as we respect ethics and our behaviour does not hurt or harm anyone, temptation can be a good thing. (in the original sentence, "that" was incorrect because it can't be used as French "que" to refer back to the previous conjunction)
We can be tempted by an adventure, a challenge, an exciting risk, (to break taboos to challenge/defy the norms, life would be monotonous and unchanging without temptation to move us forward.
However, in the face of negative, illegal, or criminal (desires, by resisting we prove our self-control. or : our self-control helps us (to) resist Summing up the (main point/ (in conclusion: Every (it's a general remark) person has their own free will to take their responsibilities depending on circumstances, weighing up the pros and cons.
