Correction- A letter from New York

Bonjour ! Je dois corriger une lettre qu'une personne à écrite à un ami (La personne étant à New York) Toutes les phrases ont quelques chose à corriger. Ce qui est en noir est la lettre d'origine et en vert ce que moi je pense être la meilleure tournure de phrase. Voici la lettre:

*) Iwas arrived in New York since one week ago and I am very excited.
*) I amwas enthusiastic but and effrayed too.
*) It iswas a new life wich beganbegin.
*) Since I have arrived, I have done new friends.
*) Do you knowwhat is the "American Dream" ?
*) All of American citizens (Celle-la je n'ai pas compris la phrase)
*) I already likealready very much this island.
*) Sorry but I lef you. (Je ne sais pas ce que veux dire "lef", dans le dictionnaire il n'y a pas)
*) Iwould want to buy everything I see all that I saw.
*) I always wanted to come here, I'm waiting wait for this trip since I was five.
*) How pass next to that ? (Je n'ai pas compris la phrase)

*) I always wanted to come here, I'm waiting wait for this trip since I was five./ici c'est le "present perfect continuous" pour to wait.
*)How pass next to that ?/je propose "what passed after that?"
*) You will never guess what happened last night./Je vois qu'ont garde l'indication de future "will"
It happens that I am in a place extraordinary./Le verbe est mal conjugué+ l'adjective se palce avant le sujet.
*) It's so wonderful that's why I have taken took photos for you./Nom ce n'est pas le "present" au debut de la phrase.
