Bonjour,
Xerosya

Today, in France, the concept of medical wasteland mentions regularly. Whose fault is that? Few of doctors are trained every year and they don’t replace retired rural doctors who leave. Mainly, young doctors settle at the edge of big cities and abandon rural areas. However, these areas are rich in patients and often they are vulnerable such as the elderly. They can’t move (or hardly) and only short-haul. That’s why, medical insurance rely on new technology, Telehealth. It’s divided into 2 categories, Tele-consultation and Tele-expertise.

Tele-consultation takes place in medical house or in patient’s home. A medical professional can make the necessary equipment as measuring devices (tensiometer, weigh scale,...) right into patient’s home and he will be able to assist the doctor. Consultation will be in the form of a video-conference. Thanks to measuring equipment, the doctor can take the patient’s vital constants. Consultations will proceed normally and will be reimbursed by the sickness and disability insurance. The movement of doctor and patient is avoided. In addition, the elderly who haven’t doctor and who need a consult aren’t directed to emergency. The unnecessary movements to the emergency are avoided. Savings will be realized.

Tele-expertise allows for the doctor to consult another colleague for a medical opinion. This consultation is done through an online chat. It’s used for cases of rare diseases, long-term illnesses in left zones by the specialists. This technique allows a better communication, analysis and thus a better follow-up of patient and better care.

Development of Telehealth is a positive initiative taken by public authorities. In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, a Telehealth cabin was inaugurated even today. This is a region and the AXA mutual’s initiative. Other cities plan to open this kind of cabin in the months and years to come. This initiative allows in access to quality care for all and whatever its place of residence.
However that doesn’t take away from the human face of medicine?

On the figure 1, can be observed a individual Telehealth cabin. This is what will be installed soon in medical house or pharmacies. All the medical supplies is present. Furthermore, the confidentiality is optimum!
Telehealth cabin is produced by “H4D, health for development”.
This is the medical office of the future!

Hello,
Today, in France, the concept of medical wasteland mentions regularly. Whose fault is that? Few of doctors are trained every year and they don’t replace retired rural doctors or doctors who leave. Tele-consultation takes place in medical house the clinic or in patient’s home. A medical professional can make the necessary equipment such as measuring devices (tensiometer, weigh scale,...) right into patient’s home and he will be able to assist the doctor. Consultation will be in the form of a video-conference. Thanks to measuring equipment, the doctor can take the patient’s vital constants.(signs) Consultations will proceed normally and costs will be reimbursed by the sickness and disability insurance. "Short- haul" is not used in relation to people's independent movements- only for planes trains and trucks etc...par exemple, a short-haul flight to Paris, but not a short-haul walk into town
