Correction -Flip-Flops
Message de flo3299 posté le 23-02-2009 à 20:46:37 (S | E | F)

Bonjour, à tous, est-ce quelqu'un pourrait m'indiquer mes fautes dans le texte ci-dessous Merci d'avance:

Once upon a time, existed a shoe which was worn by all people, named « Flip-Flops » The shoe was very comfortable, and each person after their job, wore these special shoes.
Nowadays, people think that this shoe are fashionable but in reality these shoes existed a long time ago, and there were fashionable too before!

At the beginning, this shoe was very expensive, that’s why it was worn only by rich people, the most known people as the kings even the pope wore and stayed with their shoe for their own pleasure. Bit by bit, the shoe became fashionable, and cheaper, that’s why even nowadays we can see a lot of who wore flip-flops.
The most of the kings showed their shoe to all the people they met, in order to spread the popularity of the shoe all around the world.
At this time, it was frequent to see people in the street with a yellow flip-flops :P
Even the poorest wore these shoes, indeed all people were equal with this shoe!
Comfortable, priceless, existed now in all colours this shoe is
by now THE shoe to have in our cupboard!

Bonjour,

Here are my corrections:

Once upon a time, existed there was a shoe , named "Flip-Flops," which was worn by all people. The shoe was very comfortable, and each person after their job, wore these special shoes. (placement/change 'their job')
Nowadays, people think that this shoe are (verb tense) fashionable but in reality these shoes existed a long time ago, and there were fashionable too before! (placement, use synonym of 'before')

At the beginning, this shoe was very expensive, that’s why it was worn only by rich people, the most known people as the kings even the pope wore and stayed with their shoe for their own pleasure.
(Blue = plural? - reverify all instances of 'shoe')
(Italics = run-on sentence)
(Pink = correction needed)

Bit by bit, the shoe became fashionable, and cheaper, that’s why even nowadays we can see a lot of (what) who wore flip-flops.
(past tense?)

The Most of the kings showed their shoe to all the people they met, in order to spread the popularity of the shoe all around the world.
('in order to' = ici veut dire que la seule raison pour laquelle les rois portaient ces chaussures était pour faire répandre leur popularité.)

At this time, it was frequent to see people on the street with a yellow flip-flops :P
(redo sentence, using 'we' as the subject and the adverbial form of 'frequent'. Use synonym of 'At this time')

Even the poorest (what) wore these shoes., indeed all people were equal with this shoe!
Comfortable, priceless, existed now in all colours this shoe is by now THE shoe to have in our cupboard!
(I'm not sure exactly what you mean:
'priceless'=expensive,
'existed' is in past tense)
('cupboard' is where we store dishes and food)

Hope this helps!

robertbrou
