Correction /barrage

Bonjour,
j'ai du écrire un "report" de 10 pages en anglais sur l'impact d'un barrage (le Sardar Sarovar) sur l'écosystème et les populations indiennes.
Voici l'abstract et la conclusion de mon rapport. Je suppose qu'ils contiennent pas mal d'erreur et j'aimerais une aide pour la correction des fautes de grammaire ou de vocabulaire.

abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to explain what are the impact in India of the building of the huge dam Sardar Sarovar. The story of the dams building will be briefly presented. The arguments of the firm which built the Sardar Sarovar will be summarized and the issue of water in India will be reviewed. The third part explains why some people protested against the dam and describes the dramatic consequences of it for population. It is concluded that the building of the Sardar Sarovar was certainly a mistake.
conclusion :
The issue of the Sardar Sarovar summarizes all the problems of India : poverty of population, lack of water, unharnessed resources, corruption and lack of information.
It seems evident that the Sardar Sarovar was not the best answer to the lack of water in India. Although it was a enormous dam which required a lot of work for engineers, the impact for people and ecosystem was dramatic.
It is maybe because the Sardar Sarovar was an injustice for every people who live near the Narmada river, that an extraordinary movement of protestation was created and gathered thousand of people.
Even if protestation doesn't stop the building of dam, reality about the dam was exposed thanks to the opponents. This will probably slow project of dams building all over the world. Indeed, every state wants to avoid a such protestation happening.

Bonjour, voici une suggestion pour ta première phrase:
This report examines the impact of building the huge Sardar Sarovar dam in India as follows:
Brief presentation of the story behind the dam’s building; (il faut pas oublier le ' = of)
Summarisation of the building firm’s arguments;
Explanation as to why some people protested against the dam’s construction;
Description of the dramatic impact on the population;
Conclusion that the building of the Sardar Sarovar was a mistake.

Eh bien moi je préfère la version originale de Celinedp...
Désolée Yanadebrux mais ton intro ne ressemble pas à une (on lit une espèce de liste alors que Celinedp fait une belle intro avec des connecteurs et mots de liaison) et ton anglais est moins authentique ("story behind the dam's building"???). Par ailleurs l'intro de Celinedp fait part d'un plan plus logique que celui que tu as remanipulé dans ton intro...
Bref on est là pour aider Celinedp, alors je pense qu'il faut savoir corriger ce qu'il y a à corriger et pas tout changer histoire de corriger....
Donc je ne toucherai pas à ton intro tu l'as compris Celinedp.
Simplement qq grammaire:
* what are the impactS of the building of... IN INDIA (tous les circonstenciels à la fin ou au début, jamais au milieu)
*the 3rd part explains... and AIMS AT describing...
Je marrêterai là pour lintro. Tu n'as pas à dire ce que tu mettras dans ta conclusion! C'est comme si tu mettais le générique de fin au début du film.
Ensuite ta conclusion:
*poverty of the population, the lack of water, the corruption [...].
*unhardnessed ressources??? je comprends pas ce que tu veux dire...?
* pourquoi passes tu au preterit dans ta 3ème phrase 'it was an enormous dam' Ca ne l'est plus? il a été détruit? si non, gardes le présent. Required peut être changer en PROVIDED
*everyone (every people est INCORRECTE! attention du coup accord au singulier! -S)
*tu utilises le présent de vérité pour 'doesn't stop the building of THE dam" mais c'est un évenement passé non? ou les protestation continuent? dans ce cas là on dira: are not preventing the dam from being built.
* projectS of dam- biulding.
* wants to avoid such demonstration to happen.

quelques précisions :
- "unhardnessed ressources" signifie pour moi ressource énergétique non maîtrisée, non exploitée. cela ne veut rien dire ?
- 'it was an enormous dam' effectivement il n'y avait aucune raison à ce que je mette du prétérit puisque le barrage est toujours là.
- "Even if protestation doesn't stop the building of the dam, reality about the dam was exposed thanks to the opponents". C'est bien un évènement passé. Du coup je dois mettre "didn't stop" ???
