Hello
"Start as given" generally means to begin the sentence the same way. I suggest that you change the verbs and the adjectives.
The hotel where we stayed (v) was very cheap (adj).
cheap = inexpensive
to stay = to have a stopover
The hotel where we had a stop over was very inexpensive.
A vous maintenant...

Bonsoir!
Voici ce que je propose.
the hotel where we stayed was very cheap
= the hotel (that) we are staying (was)very cheap
I suggest you replace that with where and was by is
could you take me back to my hotel ?
=would you mind take me back to my hotel ?
The expression:would you mind is generally followed by an ING form(would you mind taking....)
we have to decide what to do tomorrow
=we have to make a decision what to do tomorrow
i'm sorry we can't stay longer
=i wish that we can stay longer
I hope it helps.
