Message de maxwell posté le 22-08-2012 à 12:18:17 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,

...will be the twenty year old daughter of a northern californian (dentist), Kristi Yamaguchi :  she's in first place, and she now skates for the gold.
Great artistry, great choreography, and a big opening : triple lutz and a triple toe-loop. Triple lutz... Triple toe-loop !
(1:18) next jump, a very difficult one : triple flip. Nicely done.
(2:26) Kristi's consistency and concentration : unbelievable. This slow section, although choreographically beautiful, it's also the most difficult.
Two jumps : if she gets passed the second one, that's (her gauntlet) and it's gonna be tough to get that gold medal out of her hands.
Hand down on triple loop. The next jump is the one that's always giving her problem : the triple salchow, and she doubles it.
Nancy Kerrigan will skate next, she's in second ; Surya Bonaly in third.
She's three and a half minutes into her program : this triple lutz is very important : she's left the door a little open and she does a nice triple lutz.
The last jump is a double axel : it's not a difficult one for her. All in all, a good performance, but the door is slightly open.

Her father Jim, making his first trip ever to Europe ; her oldest sister Lori watching as well.
It's gone so well for Kristi and her mother Carole since they arrived in Albertville. And tonight, a slight bobble on one triple loop. Christy Ness, her coach.
The one mistake : difficult jump : triple loop : she just doesn't seem to get the height. She was (totally) a bit forward : couldn't quite hang on to that landing.
Now, here's the first set of marks for technical merit, for Kristi Yamaguchi.

And these are pretty good : 5.7 : the door is open ; 5.8 are pretty good. It should go up with the second mark : she did some very difficult moves, (and) the opening combination very difficult : she knew she had to compete technically with Midori Ito and she had to do a triple-triple combination, and she delivered it in the begining of her program.
Another look at that combination :you see,  triple lutz, she has to land with a lot of speed ; here : the next jump is a triple, and she lands it with one foot beautifully.

And now the marks for artistic impression for the world and (running) american champion Kristi Yamaguchi.
One 5.8, the  rest 5.9. That's her strength, (it's) the artistry, she backs it up with great technical skating but ...

Merci beaucoup !
J'aurais 2 questions :
1) "She did some very difficult moves in there" : peut-on traduire "in there" par "là-dedans" ?
2) "a slight bobble on the one triple loop" : Pourquoi ajouter "one" ? Est-ce pour signifier que c'était le seul de son programme et qu'il ne fallait pas le manquer ?

Hello

"In there" = "In her program"
"on the one triple loop" = means she did only one triple loop; however, the sentence makes sense without "one".
