Idea of progress
The document “Go for London” refers to the idea of progress because the athlete is a colored people. Indeed, it shows the diversity (mixité…) and the lack of racism there was before. The document “Trapped on the track” refers to the idea of progress because drugs are more and more used in sports. It’s a plague but sportsmen want to reach one’s limits and that is why they are using drugs. They put their lives at stake. Sportsmen must don’t fall into the trap. The cartoonist’s goal is to discourage aspiring athletes to cheat. They must be wary because, we saw in the recording that there are more and more tests during the competition like during the Olympic Games against the stimulants (athletes had no chance to cheat). The documents “Spirit in motion” refer to this idea too because, since 1976, the Olympic Games are opened to disabled people. It’s not because people are handicapped, that they can’t go in for a sport. Indeeed, for example Ali Jawad had both his legs amputated and he dreamed to compete during the Olympic Games. The progress gives him the possibility to participate in their and he can he may be qualified. There were 300 disabled British athletes during the Olympic Games of London !
Myths and heroes
The document “Go for London” refers to myths and heroes because the sportsman is imitating the pose of a famous Greek statue of the Discobolus of Myron. It can refers to myths and heroes because the athlete is handsome and muscular just like an hero ! Moreover, the low-angle shot gives the impression that the athlete is more powerful and domineering. The viewer is compelled to feel admiration like behind an hero ! The documents “Spirit in motion” refer to myths and heroes because people who are disabiled reach one’s limits twice than an “normal” athlete. A hero is someone who is reaching one’s limits the more he can. And Olympic Games elect the most talented men in a sport in the world...
Spaces and exchanges
The document “Go for London” refers to spaces and exchanges because, we can see Lawrence Okoye, a Brisitsh champion sportsman throwing a discus behind the Big Ben. It’s unrealistic because the athlete has almost the same size as the Big Ben. Moreover, it’s alluded to spaces and exchanges because this picture has been ordered by the British Airways, which is a partner of the Olympic Games of London. The Olympics Games refer to spaces and exchanges because they are places of meeting of a lot of countries from all over the world and and regardless of their physical. The Olympic Games are place of team-spirit like thought Pierre de Coubertin. They gather several countries in order to get great physical performance. They permit people to discover countries and people from them. Besides, they are ways to get information about what happens in the others countries. If a country organizes Olympic games it has to create new buildings and this is a disadvantage because poor countries can’t build new building so they can’t organize the Olympic Games. They cost a lot for a country but they create jobs and are good for tourism… They can lead to crisis too because some countries use too much money and they don’t make profits, it create ghost town. It's (quitte ou double ???) !

Hello,
A mon avis oui.
Un - veut dire qu'il manque un mot ou une lettre.
