Myth and Heroe/Oral

I'm going to talk about the notion “Myths and heroes”. First I'd like to give a definition of this concept. A myth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, it can be a popular belief or a tradition or a false notion.
To illustrate this concept I would like to talk about the American Dream. American dream is an idea of the United States: anyone can become rich through his will, his courage and his work. Why do Mexican people decide to migrate to the USA? The Americans Dream, Myht o reality ?
This document deal with the Mexican American border, which consists in a fence separating Mexico from the USA. This cartoon deals with the Mexican American border. The picture is divided into two parts. A wall made of brick and barbed wires is dividing the land into two parts. On the left, we can see a Mexican walking in the sand. It seems that he has been walking for a long time because he is sweating.
The country beyond the fence is the USA. We can make out skyscrapers in the background and a Mc Donald’s logo in the middle of the desert.
Those two elements are symbols of the USA. In the middle of the fence, there is a custom agent at a counter. This character is problem here to check the ID’s of people who want to cross the border.
the cartoonist wants to convey the message that Mexican people are leaving their country because they are attracted to the USA and the American dream. As too many Mexicans want to cross the border, the USA has built a border with barbed wires so as to prevent illegal crossing. Moreover, it is clear that the USA are ready to sell their goods, their products to Mexican people but they do not want them to cross the frontier.
The USA want to take advantage of the Mexican money without letting Mexicans crossing the border. They do not want illegal people in their country. They came in America to escape a political system. They came to live a better economic and politil condition. America il is a refuge for Mexican personn. The Mexican, with a dream of wealth, try to pass the barriers and embroidery Us patrol, already it is very hard because the American does not want immagrants. But secondly, for those who have passed, the dream does not appear, because, indeed, the American dream does not exist . Indeed, the United States emerged as a great success for the whole world, for example, Madonna would have come to New York with only $ 30 and now it is a international pop star. Cepandant, The American dream only affects a few people. In america, poverty are very present especially in large cities since the Recesion. It is very difficil for this person is recovered in the social class. Inequality is very present in America.

Finally, I will talk about what is the American Dream for a great number of people. The American dream is a national ethos of the United States, a set of ideals in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success. It is a dream of liberty and justice for all, a dream of adventure, wealth and happiness. It has led millions of immigrants to see America as a promised land. The American Dream is also the face of the "American way of life", promoted by Hollywood model of a united family living in a nice house surrounded by a lawn with a nice car and beautiful children who go to university and will have access to the "good life."
But there are limits of the American Dream, the negative sides, like slavery, land conques
For me, the American dream does not exist. There are some good things a person but america has many pauvreter and inequality. The America is showing its beautiful side to everyone, but REALLY, this country is very uneven and has a lot of poverty.
