Oral /Terminale

Bonsoir,
quelqu'un pourrait-il jeter un coup d'oeil à mon oral pour voir s'il y a des fautes évidentes?
Merci d'avance à vous.

The research of a better life and the American dream push poor and lower-middle class people especially Latinos to immigrate in the United States. Most of them try to enter illegally in America by climbing the border, even though they are aware of the risks they are taking.
The economic circumstances and maybe xenophobia makes more and more Americans speak against Latino immigration. Why American citizens’ opinions concerning immigration are divided ?
To deal with this question, we’ll first concentrate on what makes some Americans appreciate Latino immigration, in other words its asset.
Then we’ll focus on the reason why most Americans want tighter controls on the american border.

A few Americains don’t feel concerned about the immigration problem or can understand immigrants by putting themselves in immigrants’ place.
People to whom benefit the most legal or illegal latino immigration are employers because they hire immigrants at very low wages, thereby reducing their production costs and selling prices. The second beneficiary is the normal american who pays cheaper goods.
Moreover, Americans can consider themselves happy not to hold jobs nobody wants : these jobs are occupied by immigrants who don’t complain and work as good as former Americans.
We can also add some companies target these immigrants who represent a lot of potential clients, which means big incomes.

However, even though employers and the upper middle-class take advantage of low-wage immigrants, it’s not the case of the lower-middle class. Latinos immigrants occupy the job they could have had if they lower their salary demand : that’s pure unfair competition. The increase in immigration causes a rise of unemployment rate.
Furthermore, the more jobless, the more taxes Americans have to pay.
Besides, some Americans are afraid to be in minority : according to studies, by 2050, white Americans will be less than half of the American population.
Immigration is often associated unconsciously with crime because of stereotypes can also create xenophobia with some Americans, probably because of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

We can easily conclude that even though most Americans want the Latino immigration’s wave to be slowed down, it is in their interest to welcome low-wage immigrants
Moreover, United States owes partly to immigrants the success of its economy. My opinion is Americans should be more grateful to them and to put themselves in Latinos’ shoes, who are sometimes suffering from horrible standards of living.
