Oral/Notion de Progrès
Message de menthix posté le 04-04-2014 à 22:07:34 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,
j'ai fait ceci pour la notion de progrès, pourriez-vous corriger mes fautes s'il vous plait ?
Merci infiniment d'avance

The idea of progress can be defined as a positive evolution in terms of technical, society, industry and in human development which improves people’s life.
We'll see how the idea of progress guides societies positively.
At first, I’m going to talk about major technical and scientific Anglo-Saxon discoveries. Afterwards, I will talk about progress between difbhferent groups in society.

I.Major technical and scientific Anglo-Saxon discoveries.
Successive revolutions helped to increase comfort of people's lives, and influence of the Anglo Saxon countries. These revolutions are first passed through inventions and technical discoveries promoting Anglo-Saxon hegemony.
The first major discovery was the introduction of printing in England by William Caxton.
Then came the Industrial Revolution, a period of several decades, which began in England in the late 18th century. It involves the invention of the steam engine by James Watt, then the Cotton gin, invented in the USA, by Eli Whitney. But it is also the discovery of new patterns of work as Fordism and Taylorism.
But the discoveries are also medical and scientific.
One of the greatest scientific English is Charles Darwin, who stated the theory of evolution and its impact on ideas that we could make under humans.
There was also FGHopkins who discovered vitamins in 1906.

II.Social progress between different groups in society.
For a century, there are much social progress, that allow for a balance between members of society.
For example, the women’s status. Women could regain new rights (the right to vote or contraception). And there has been a redefinition of the role of women in society and in the home.
There has also been progress in terms of differences, for example with the marriage rights for homosexuals, in England and in France.
Finally, one of the more significant progress on discrimination is the advanced against racism. The Anglo Saxon world has gone from an ideology based on the supremacy of the white race in the society to a society that frees itself prejudices, whose the election of Obama reflects.

In conclusion, I would like to say that Progress has greatly improved living conditions. However progress has limitatis. For example: the child labor during the industrial revolution or today for High Tech production in Pakistan. And the degradation of the environment with GMOs or oil.
