Oral Progress/Bac
Message de azer33 posté le 25-04-2014 à 09:48:41 (S | E | F)
Bonjour
Voici mon travail pour l'oral du Bac, cependant j'aimerais, s'il vous plaît, une aide pour le corriger.
Merci d'avance !

"Today I am going to speak about the notion of Progress.
For humanity, to progress is changing in a direction of improvement, it’s gradual transformation towards more knowledge. Nowadays, three types of progress are feasible, there is the technological progress, the social progress which gives more equality between men and women especially on the workplace for example but it can concern homosexuals, and Black and White people too. The last progress is the scientific progress which aims at improving the conditions of life by the creation of vaccines, treatment and stuffs like this. Today I have decided to speak about technological progress to present the assets thanks to this improvement but to show that progress isn’t always positive. First, I’ll speak about an oral document untitled Moon Landing which shows positives aspects of this progress, then we’ll see that virtual spaces which are the consequences of progress aren’t as good as people can tell, to illustrate I’ll lean on Facebook in real life and to strengthen my words I’ll use Placebo’s song Too many friends.

So we studied a podcast untitled Moon Landing where a man named Nagel describes he’s feeling about the first man on the moon on 1969 to a journalist. For him, it was fabulous to watch this outstanding event on television even if it was black and white images. This document shows a positive evolution of television from a black and white version to a colorful one that everybody uses nowadays. Secondly, to be able to walk on the moon is a real progress, because it pushes the limits of space. Although, he isn’t mentioned but we all know that the first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong.

However, new technologies aren’t as good as people can tell. You can have problems of privacy, and hackers are able to spy people thanks to these new technologies. Indeed, the video Facebook in real life shows this negative aspect of progress. On it, we can see two men, one named Todd who reacts as if he was on Facebook, a social website and another man Edward who react normally because he is in real life. Todd is asking very intimate questions that’s why Edward looks confused and completely baffled about Todd’s behavior. This document is a caricature of what we do virtually on social websites and it proves that virtually is different from reality since when we represent what we do on it in reality it looks completely ridiculous.

Furthermore new technologies such as cell phones, touchpad or computers release unhealthy waves like wifi for example. Indeed, Placebo who is a musical group of rock says in his song brought out in 2013 untitled Too many friends that the internet and the virtual relationships made him feel lonely. He wants to get rid of his computer to feel happy again, because according to him, he had enough of it. He blames the applications for his loneliness. He criticizes the people’s behavior by telling that they spend too much time on their phones. This document is a criticism of the technological progress which brings people to steep themselves by addiction of this progress. If people don’t manage to control their use of these new technologies then they can’t live a happy life like Placebo would like.

To conclude, the myth of the American dream is not a success for everybody. It is often a failure leading to poverty and to misfortune. It is necessary to protect itself from preconceived ideas, and to possess his own opinion."

Hello..

Today I am going to speak about the notion of Progress.
For humanity, to progress is changing (infinitif) in a the direction of improvement., Iit’s gradual transformation towards more knowledge. Nowadays, three types of progress are feasible:, there is the technological progress, the social progress which gives more equality between men and women especially on the workplace for example but it can concern homosexuals, and bBlack and wWhite people too. The last progress is the scientific progress which aims at improving the conditions of life by the creation of vaccines, treatment and stuffs like this (a reformuler). Today I have decided to speak about technological progress: to present the assets thanks to this improvement but to show that progress isn’t always positive. First, I’ll speak about an oral document untitled Moon Landing which shows positives (aucun s au pluriel des adjectifs) aspects of this progress, then we’ll see that virtual spaces which are the consequences of progress aren’t as good as people can tell (le sens est obscur ici)., Tto illustrate I’ll lean on ('use' serait mieux) Facebook in real life and to strengthen my words I’ll use Placebo’s song Too Mmany Ffriends.

So Wwe studied a podcast untitled Moon Landing where a man named Nagel describes he’s feeling about the first man on the moon on 1969 to a journalist. For him, it was fabulous to watch this outstanding event on television even if it was black and white images. This document shows a positive evolution of television from a black and white version to a colorful one that everybody uses nowadays. Secondly, to be able to walk on the moon is a real progress, because it pushes the limits of space. Although, he isn’t mentioned by name but we all know that the first man on the moon was Neil Armstrong.

However, new technologies aren’t as good as people can tell. You can have problems of privacy, and hackers are able to spy -- (preposition manquante) people thanks to these new technologies. Indeed, the video Facebook in real life shows this negative aspect of progress. On it, we can see two men, one named Todd who reacts as if he was were (subjonctif) on Facebook, a social website and another man Edward who reacts normally because he is in real life. Todd is asking very intimate questions and that’s why Edward looks confused and completely baffled about Todd’s behavior. This document is a caricature of what we do virtually on social websites and it proves that virtually is different from reality since when we represent what we do on it in reality it looks completely ridiculous.

Furthermore new technologies such as cell phones, touchpad or computers release unhealthy waves like wifi for example. Indeed, Placebo who is a musical group of rock rock group says in his song brought out in 2013 untitled Too many friends that the internet and the virtual relationships made him feel lonely. He wants to get rid of his computer to feel happy again, because according to him, he --- had enough of it.

It is necessary to protect itself from preconceived ideas, and to possess his own opinion." (..ourselves..our own opinions)

When you are writing about the song, do not say "he..he..he"
write the "singer says.." or "the song says.." etc.,

Good luck!
