Stage maritime (correction)
Message de esc-student posté le 24-04-2007 à 08:34:33 (S | E | F | I)

Bonjour.
Est-ce que quelqu'un accepterait de regarder si j'ai fait des fautes dans mon rapport de stage s'il vous plaît ?

I) presentation of the company

I carried out my training course within the company xxx in June 2006 in London. The principal activity of this company is international transport. It was created in 1985 by xxx : Hence the initials xxx. This company makes an annual turnover of approximately 10 million euros. The Customers of the English firm are located in London and its close outskirts.
choice of the subject
At the end of this training course the company wished to direct some of its services towards the maritime transport. It thus appeared interesting to me to study the English maritime transport.
transport in GB
The rail transport is declining. Since 1970, its has share of market passed from 10 to 6% for the transport of passengers and 21 to 8% for the goods. Indeed this traffic accounts for nothing any more but 7% of the transport of freight in the country. Air transport has known a fast growth. In last twenty years, the traffic of freight increased by than 7% on average per year. Air transport accounts for 13% of the transport of freight of today. The road transport only represents more than 75% of the inland transport of freight. It is by far the more used means of transport in England.

THE MARITIME TRANSPORT
The tonnage of the British fleet, direct British property is about 9 million tons, 4 million of wich are registered in the United Kingdom wich makes it the ninth larger fleet in the world. This fleet, of 15 years an average age, is younger than the international fleet (9 years for the container ships). The British ports makes in 2005 nearly 57 million tons of goods, which little less than 330 million freight enter the ports, and about 240 million. Approximately, the fuels account for 50% of the traffic (a little more exports than of imports), other products in bulk 20%, the "Rho-Rho" 15%, the containers 10% and other Goods 5%. The total traffic of harbour goods decreased by 1% in 2005 (a growth of 4% of the entries and a reduction of 7% of the exits). The provisional figures for 2007 announce a second reduction of 1% . 35 ports ensure a traffic of more than 2 million tons per annum. Alone 13 ports treat the three-quarters of the sea traffic in tons and 5 ports treat 40% of the traffic (Grimsby and Immingham with 55 million, Tees and Hartlepool (51 million), London (51 million), Forth (42 million) and Southampton (36 million).

REASONS OF THIS SITUATION
More than 90% of the world trade transit by the sea (75% in value of the United Kingdom enter or leave by the sea). The British companies realized that they lost a certain competitiveness compared to the ships of a quality lower than those under flag of convenience whose crews are paid less and also compared to the ships of other European countries whose crews are well trained and repaid rather well and who are supported by subsidies to compensate for the higher costs of a service of good quality. Only 20% of the British fleet of property are under British house in its strict direction. Approximately 55% of this one post other houses more or less related to the Crown.

POLICIES IMPLEMENTED TO MITIGATE THESE PROBLEMS
The ministerial report "British Shipping" introduced the gathered under four topics to tackle problems of the maritime transport : training of the sailors , creation of new jobs, to improve the attractivity of G-B for the ship-owners, to improve safety and the environment.the maritime transport suffers from the competition of the subsidized ships as well as flags of convenience. Moreover the mode of regulation is still too rigid. These elements influence directly in a harmful way the British fleet of property and also the traffic of the goods and the ports in spite of the recent measures taken for these problems.

merci d'avance de votre aide
