Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

Since Holidays are coming soon, the exercises will be easier for a while, I understand each one of us has a lot to do. The number of vowels is gigen in 5 out of ten answers.

1- The scientific study of animals. ..... (gzl) 4
2- A time of very bad economic conditions, with serious unemployment etc. ..... (mspl)
3- Tiny drops of moisture coming from the air as it cools, especially at night. ..... (wd)
4- To make the forehead wrinkle and the eyebrows move down (as a sign of worry, disapproval, deep thought etc). ..... (wfnr)
5- The lower part of the arm (between wrist and elbow). ..... (rrfm) 3
6- The foot or base of a column, statue etc. ..... (dlpts) 3
7- A small tower. ..... (rrtt)

9- A long, narrow cut made in a surface. ..... (rvg) 3
10- Loyal and true; not changing. ..... (hlfft) 3

Hello Marit, Je me demande encore pourquoi j'ai répondu misemployment au N° 2, alors que j'avais très bien saisi le sens de votre définition. Par contre, je ne connaissais pas encore le mot "slump". Il s'ajoutera à ma longue liste de mots de vocabulaire, que je devrais réviser plus souvent. (Bonne suggestion de résolution pour l'année 2014, n'est-ce pas? )
