6- To walk stiffly and proudly; in anger ( or follow a prey). to stalk not to confuse either with ' a stalk' of flower, plant, fruit.

7- Any of a number of types of animal with large front teeth for gnawing; squirrels, beavers, rats etc. A rodent Oh ! Rats!!

6- To walk stiffly and proudly; in anger. (ltks) stalk = traquer, marcher d'un pas raide.
