Had better /tag

Hello,
What will we write in the blank to form the tag in such a sentence:
He'd better tidy his room every morning,....?
We know that we can inverse the helping verb in the tag. May we write" had better he?" or "had he better?"
We also know that the whole 'had better' is a helping verb, because we can use 'not' after ' had better' and not after 'had'.
Thanks for your help.

hello,
He'd better tidy his room every morning
I think you have to write "he'd" in a negative and interrogative form.
Example: they had read your book, hadn't they?

Hello
The correct response is 'hadn't he'.
