Hello,

I am confused on how to use the words "would", "will", "could" & "can" in a sentence.
Examples:
1. Would you please send me your report?
2. Will you please send me your report?
3. Could you please send me your report?
2. Can you please send me your report?

Please help me if there are differences on these sentences or what is the correct sentence on the above examples.

will is a modal, used to express the willingness to do something ( will you marry me?) ; sudden decisions : It's cold in here, I'll switch on the heating. First conditionals: If it stops raining, we'll go for a walk
In requests, it sound less formal and probably less polite than "would":
Will you stop complaining ? ( sounds a bit impatient), even if accompanied by a "please"
Would ( a modal) is used in polite requests " Would you please step forward, I can't see you" or " Would you please accept my apologies?

Can( a modal) is used for present ability, requests ( Can you see me?) ( Can you help me, please?)

Could ( a modal) expresses past ability over a period of time ( I could already speak English at the age of three).or polite, formal requests, often accompanied by please: " Could you please help me fix this tap?" " Could you pass the salt, please ( in formal circumstances)
But, said in an angry voice, it may not sound so polite:
Could you please stop making this terrible noise, I can't get to sleep. ( which probably means that, if the noise goes on, I'll call the police)
