Past tense/correction
Message from eliise1987 posted on 15-03-2015 at 19:28:04 (D | E | F)
Hello

It's quite a long story, thanks for correction and help...It's my first year studying English, so sorry for the huge mistakes.;)
Here is the story....

I will never forget the day I flew to Swiss. It was many years ago when I woke up early in the morning. I got ready quickly and I was ready to go to the airport. When I looked at the clock I said "If i don't hurry I am getting late for a flight". It was the first time for me to fly and I was very nervous.
I arrived at the airport half an hour before desk closing and luckily there wasn't long queue. I had a feeling that it was my day but unfortunately the rest of the day didn't go that well.
First, it turned out that my luggage is overweight and i paid extra money. Then said one woman at the secuirity check loudly "Food and liquids in hand baggage isn't permitted", she looked deeply into my eyes and I blushed. After all this, I ran to the gate, because my flight was already shouted out.
Finally, there I sat, in a small crowded airplane. I stared out of the window and I sayd to myself "My very first flight", without knowed that I said out very loud. A very sveet old lady looked at me and said with smile "Mine too". In the end I forgot what happened during the day and I enjoyed the flight.

Hello,
mistakes in blue; corrections in green.
I will never forget the day I flew to Swiss.(you need the country, not the adjective) It was many years ago when I woke up early in the morning. I got ready quickly and I was ready to go to the airport. When I looked at the clock I said "If I don't hurry I am getting(you need a near future like: I am going to work) late for a flight". It was the first time for me to fly(not convenient: "It was the first time I had been flying" or "I had never been on a plane before") and I was very nervous.
I arrived at the airport half an hour before desk closing and luckily there wasn't a long queue. I had a feeling that it was my day but unfortunately the rest of the day didn't go that well.
First, it turned out that my luggage is (preterite) overweight and I paid extra money. Then said(no inversion, use the normal word order) one woman at the security check loudly "Food and liquids in hand baggage isn't(plural) permitted", she looked deeply into my eyes and I blushed. After all this, I ran to the gate, because my flight was already shouted out (announced? I don't know if they "shout out" flights).
Finally, there I sat, in a small crowded airplane. I stared out of the window and I sayd to myself "My very first flight", without knowed(ing! without knowing that... or unaware that.....) that I said(you need a preterite continuous here) out very loud. A very sveet old lady looked at me and said with a smile "Mine too". In the end I forgot what had happened during the day and I enjoyed the flight.
