Les nombres ordinaux

Contrairement aux nombres cardinaux (one, two, three...), les nombres ordinaux permettent de classer quelque chose ou quelqu'un, de déterminer un rang: le premier à terminer une course, le 3e à remporter une médaille par exemple.
Ils sont très souvent utilisés sous la forme abrégée.

EXEMPLES
- le premier = the first / the first one
- le cinquantième = the fiftieth = the 50th

Et aussi... un peu plus dur, attention à l'ordre des mots...
- les quatre premiers = the first four
- les cinq derniers = the last five
- le 3e pays le plus riche du monde = the third richest nation in the world
