à mon avis :
I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, so have I
ce qui est la reprise grammaticalement la plus correcte ;
mais si j'entends à l'oral "so do I " je ne ferai pas de bond au plafond bien que je remarquerai cette reprise comme étant un peu bizarre.
Je sais, tu vas me dire que les Américains...etc...etc....ok

Je pense que les British emploient rarement "have" comme auxiliaire, sauf dans le langage soutenu. Sinon, j’ai toujours appris qu’avec ce genre de phrase, il faut l’auxiliaire "do".
Je ne pense pas que dans la forme négative, on puisse dire : "I haven’t three cats and two dogs."
Ce sera soit "I haven’t got three cats and two dogs." Soit "I don’t have three cats and two dogs."
J’aimerais enfin connaître la clé de cette énigme.

Un peu dans la même optique que Nathalie, je pense que les 2 réponses sont correctes, cela dépends de l'auxiliaire que l'on utilise dans la phrase précédente:
I have 3 cats > I don't have 3 cats. So/neither do I.
I have got 3 cats > I haven't got # cats. So/neither have I.

Pas besoin de m'attendre ; vous êtes arrivés à la bonne solution!
J'aurais pu dire "I've got..." mais ce n'est pas ce que j'ai dit. J'ai dit "I have...". Ici, "have" est utilisé comme verbe regulier, pas comme auxiliaire. Donc, comme tous les verbes reguliers (sauf "be"), on emploie "do" pour les négations, les questions, et les autres inversions sujet-verbe.
Alors, c'est: So do I!
Good job!
Pourtant, on entend parfois (surtout en Grande Bretagne, je crois) le manque de "do" avec "have" (ce qui est, comme "be", un verbe regulier et aussi auxiliare). Alors on peut demander "Haven't you any money?" aussi bien que "Don't you have any money?" Si l'on suit cette mode, on pourrait dire "So have I". Alors lucile n'a pas tort.
